Does anyone know anything about Telegraph Commons & Westminster House Apartments at Berkeley?

Are the two apartments comparable? Is one better than the other?

Okay — go with Westminster House. It’s a little smaller, has more character, and is less like the PROJECTS. You’re gonna feel like you’re in a rat race anyway at your classes at Berkeley since they’re gonna be so big. You need a more friendly environment to sink back into at home. Telegraph Commons is a larger dorm-like facility.

Both places are on the Southside of campus, which is noisier, has more street people, and dirtier. But it shouldn’t be too noticeable because both are so close to campus.

I lived in one of the coop apartments four blocks off campus and you can imagine how much fun it was getting to class every day.

People’s Park is on this side. But then so are some great cafes, clothing stores and used book stores. After you’ve been at Berkeley for a few years, you may want to get a rent controlled apartment on the Northside which is quieter and has more trees.

Luckily both these places are right across from campus, so you can grab a triple cappucino on the way to class and still make it on time. I wish I knew what your major was then I could tell you how close the buildings would be to the majority of the classes you’ll be taking.

YOU’RE GONNA HAVE AN INCREDIBLE TIME!
