selling ipod on craigslist, recieved shady reply is this possibly a scammer?
I posted an ipod for sale on craigslist, and within 20 minutes, I recieved an interested buyer, I emailed him back and asked if he had any questions, he sent me this reply:
“re:ok, thanks, but I’ll be needing your help in sending the item as a surprise
New Year Present to my uncle who has just been posted to west Africa,on a
training course III be offering you £70 for the postage.I will have love to
handle it myself but I’m presently in Greece on a business trip so …Kindly
send me a request for the payment of the total cost of the item cost and via pay pal
and III get the payment done asap…
Thank you God Bless You..”
Is this shady?
Game girl: goooooood call, i didn’t even think of that.
Ah, this is so wierd, I’ve gotten a few emails from people similar to this one, who say that they are on a business trip and want to use pay pal, or a cashiers check.
Sounds shady, ignor it. If he really wanted to surprise his uncle with an iPod he would have ordered one online instead of paying a large shipping fee.
