Colored Plates
If my kitchen is mainly blue (blue mat, blue/white towels) what would be some good color plates to match?
Would blue plates and bowls be too much blue? would black be too dark or good? would red make it look too american. what are some good colors.
Would you mix and match different colored bowls and plates?
I have a basically beige and blue kitchen (cobalt blue) Tuscany Italian. I use a Ruby red accent and an Olive green and gold these plates http://cdn1.ioffer.com/img/item/114/698/363/21N2msdEqs64WRC.jpg
Blue and white is more of a modern set I would go with http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3332/3583016700_c3048f2b3f.jpg Coppery tones to warm it up.

Look for some old Robins egg or navy enamel http://www.letsentertainpartyrental.com/images/NEWPICS/P5030144.jpg And check the bandanna in that picture a bit of black can get worked in easily.
