From Toddler Bed To Crib?
In December I will be moving in with my fiance. I have two daughters (2 months and 20 months) and my 13 year old niece lives with me. My fiance owns a six bedroom six bath victorian. He has five kids, but they share rooms so when we move in my niece will have her own room in their finished basement, my 2 month old will have her own room and my 20 month old will be sharing a room until my fiance finishes remodling his attic into a bedroom since she doesn’t sleep well with other people (except me). She’ll be sharing a room with his 3 year old and she sleeps in a twin sized bed and my 20 month old sleeps in a crib. The thing is, the crib is big and probally won’t fit in the room, so I was thinking about getting her a toddler bed. Any ideas how I can make this transition easy? And it’ll probally permanat because I don’t want her to get used to the toddler bed then have to move back to the crib.
Get her to help pick out a toddler bed with her favorite characters on it, explain how she is a big girl and will use a big girl bed. My daughter had no problem with the transition (she was 23 months) infact she liked her bed much better than the crib.
